Habits is a 2010 alternative rock album by the band Neon Trees. It is their first studio album and is probably most well known for its single "Animal", which has had a significant amount of radioplay in recent years.

This album has a relatively easygoing energy to it, with soft riffs that feel "summerlike" in their general vibe. A fair amount of synths color the tracks here, though I wouldn't classify anything on here as synthpop as they're not the main focus here.

Tyler Glenn sings the catchy choruses that can be found on a lot of these tracks well, best showcased on "Your Surrender". The lyrics he's singing are well-written and I can't really find any issues with them even if a lot of the album centers around the same central topic of love.

While the success of the song “Animal” is well deserved (what with its very catchy chorus and distinct instrumental), the other tracks on here should get some recognition as well. While “Animal” has well over 250 million plays on Spotify, the rest of the songs on the album hover around 1 million to 4 million plays, making them underrated as compared to “Animal”. I'd say if you liked "Animal" then the rest of the songs on here will be enjoyable for you too.

My favorite tracks from Habits are “Animal”, “Your Surrender”, and “Girls And Boys In School”.

Overall, Neon Trees' debut album is filled with catchy tracks that match the quality of "Animal" and will leave anyone who liked that song satisfied if they check out the tracks beyond it.
